Where To Find Rare Wood in Ghost of Yotei?

You can find Rare Wood in populated areas around Ezo. Unlike other resources that can be looted from the remains of defeated enemies, this one can be picked up in rural areas. You can explore different compounds with structures, visit open garden areas, and even check towns and castles. These may look like ordinary wood, but they hold significant value.
The map size is described as being similar in scale to Tsushima, which means there are plenty of open areas to explore. There is no need to rush through the campaign or hunt every member of the Yotei Six, especially since this resource can improve your chances in battle.
How To Use Rare Wood in Ghost of Yotei

Similar to the first game, all the resources you collect can go towards weapon upgrades. While Gun Parts and Shinobi Steel are required for armor and melee weapons, Rare Wood is used for Atsu’s ranged weapons: the Yumi and Hankyu. This resource allows you to upgrade Atsu’s bows to the maximum level, which enhances all their stats.
Deliver a sufficient amount of Rare Wood to Ran the Bowyer and let them handle the rest. It is best to upgrade your bows, especially if you prefer taking down enemies from a distance.
