Players have been facing issues getting into GTA Online today (January 3, 2025) with many finding it difficult to log into the Rockstar Games launcher. Without doing the latter, you won’t be able to jump into the former. While many have taken to social media to complain about the same, there’s no official report from the devs yet.

A new week has begun in-game, with new GTA Online weekly discounts coming into play. We discuss further about today’s server issues in GTA Online in the article below.

Are the GTA Online servers down?

GTA Online servers are currently facing problems on the PC platform. A quick look at the Rockstar Games Support Service Status website shows that the services are limited for PC for both GTA Online and Red Dead Online.

If you are the unlucky one, you will be told to log into Rockstar Games when you jump into GTA 5. When you try to do so you will get the following prompt:

Grand Theft Auto V is offline: Sorry, Rockstar Games is currently experiencing technical difficulties and online services have been temporarily disabled.”

What Does Rockstar Games Say?

As mentioned ahead, the official website mentions the services are currently limited for PC users. We expect them to be up soon.
