How To Find the Save File and Config File in Hogwarts Legacy?
The save file location for Hogwarts Legacy is Local Disk (C:)\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\Hogwarts Legacy\Saved\SaveGames. You can access the save file by following the below steps:
- Open File Explorer and click on This PC.
- Open the C: Drive (Local Disk).
- Click on the Users folder and then open the folder with your username.
- Open the AppData folder. If you don’t see it, enable “Hidden Items” in the View tab.
- Select the Local and then find the Hogwarts Legacy folder.
- Double-click the Saved folder and then the SaveGames.
- This folder contains your Hogwarts Legacy save files.
You can also find your Config File on the path Local Disk (C:)\Users\Your Username\AppData\Local\Hogwarts Legacy\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
Just follow the same path as the save file up to the Saved folder. Then find the Config folder and double-click the WindowsNoEditor.

How To Fix Hogwarts Legacy Save File Gone Issue?
The Hogwarts Legacy Save File Gone can be fixed by replacing the new save file with a backed-up save file. This can be done by:
- Navigate to the Save File path by following the above method.
- Create a backup by copying the entire SaveGames folder to another location.
- Then, Delete all files named HL-xx-xx from the SaveGames folder and launch a new Game.
- Your game will be automatically saved, and a new save file will be created at the point where you will be provided with the healing potion. Close the game.
- Now, copy the most recent save file from the backup and paste it into the SaveGames folder alongside the new save files.
- Now rename the old save file (backup file) to match the new save file’s name and then overwrite it.
- Finally, launch the game and select the Load Game option to restore and continue your old save.
