A Sailor’s Letter Exploration Codex Quest in Throne and Liberty requires you to find a letter in a bottle and see where it leads.
Throne and Liberty has a plethora of activities for you to engage in, ranging from slaying monsters in dungeons to cooking to solving miscellaneous quests picked up during exploration. The Exploration Codex Quests are area-specific quests that are automatically accepted and added to the quest log when you enter a new area.
A Sailor’s Letter Exploration Codex Quest is one such quest that is easy to miss if you aren’t paying attention, potentially locking you away from lucrative rewards.
In this guide, we shall show you how to start A Sailor’s Letter Exploration Codex Quest, how to complete it, and the rewards you gain upon completion.
How to Start A Sailor’s Letter Exploration Codex
As stated earlier, Exploration Codex Quests are automatically added to the quest log once you enter an area. To start A Sailor’s Letter Exploration Codex, you have to go to the Windmill Shores, and the quest will be automatically added to your log. The shores are a Level 4-7 area so make sure you meet the requirements before you rush the area. Once the quest is added to your log, simply click on the blue star icon next to the quest to highlight the quest on your screen.
How to Complete A Sailor’s Letter Exploration Codex
“Read the Letter in a Bottle near the wreck under Spiral Cliff,” the quest description reads. Click on the blue star icon next to the Quest in the log to highlight the bottle’s location. Make your way to the bottle and pick it up to read the letter within.
The letter will point you towards an island Southeast of where you found the bottle. You can reach this island by swimming or by through the docks in Kastleton. Swimming is the faster option. As you swim to the shores of the island, you will see grapple hooks on the cliff. Grapple to the top of the cliff to find the Sailor’s letter.
This letter will direct you to a small island northwest of the cliff. You can see this island from atop the cliff. Fly to this island and you will find the Treasure Chest from the Shipwreck. Open the chest for the objective.
Lastly, you have to head to Kastleton and ask Lord’s Aide Dave about Harnie. Talk to Dave and he will direct you towards Harnie, the Sailor’s wife, at Kasleton Memorial. Talk to Harnie to finish the quest.
A Sailor’s Letter Exploration Codex Rewards
Completing the quest grants you two shapeshift forms:
- The Shapeshift Chestacean (after opening Treasure Chest from the Shipwreck)
- Russet Lutrang (found on the top of the island with grapple hooks)
