How Fishing works in Throne and Liberty

Equip your rod and bait in your character page (P) and head to the nearest body of water to start fishing. You can equip them both by pressing RMB in the inventory. Once you reach any lake or sea then on your skill bar click on the broad icon to hold it in your hands. Press F to throw the hook.

Cast your float and wait for the fish to bite and it will not take too long. When the fish bites, a quick prompt will appear. Once the fish bites the bait, two bars will appear on the screen, a green one and an Orange one. The Green bar shows your fishing stamina while the orange one shows the fish’s stamina. If you hit the timing right it reduces the fish’s stamina bar making it easier to catch. Once the fish’s stamina is fully lowered, you can catch it and then add it to your inventory for later usage.

Rewards for Fishing

Once you catch the fish, you’ll get fishing experience points (EXP) and level. You can check your fishing level but also levels for other Lifestyle activities on your character page. The higher the level, the better the chance of higher-level fish appearing. Sometimes when you fish you might catch a chest container that can reward you with valuable items and Sollant. You can also use the fish you catch as an ingredient for cooking. Cooking is another lifestyle activity that allows you to create special dishes.

Tips and Tricks for Fishing in Throne and Liberty

  • The fish will try to escape left or right by randomly changing sides and to drain its stamina bar you need to counter its stamina by using A or D key.
  • Your goal is to reduce the Fish health to zero.
  • To achieve this, drag in the opposite direction of the fish’s movement. Many fishes are easy to catch (especially at the beginning) while others might resist more.
  • You also have the stamina bar that should never be empty, otherwise, the fish will escape.
  • Once the fish stamina bar is completely drained, you pull it out and get the reward.
