Baldur's Gate 3 Lightning Jabber BG3

Lightning Jabber

In Baldur’s Gate 3, the Lightning Jabber is a spear that uses the element of lightning to deal extra damage in a couple of different ways. The first perk is called Shocking Sting, and it gives you a chance to possibly Shock your target on any successful hit. The Shock condition means that the enemy will not be able to take Reactions.

Secondly, the other perk will deal an extra 1 to 4 points of Lightning damage. However, this will only happen when you throw the spear at your target. Obviously, when you throw a weapon or object it is no longer equipped until you pick it back up again, which will use up one of your Actions.

How to Get Lightning Jabber in Baldur’s Gate 3

To get the Lightning Jabber in Baldur’s Gate 3 you will need to find the ambush location of the Cursed Kuo-Toa in the Shadow-Cursed Lands of Act 2. The ambush spot is located to the far north of the map above Reithwin Town in the west. From the central plaza in the town, head north through the graveyard, angle west for a bit along the back of the House of Healing and then turn northeast past the entrance to the Grand Mausoleum.

There will be a run down wooden structure back here and as you explore likely one of your companions will comment about an ambush. Consequently, you will soon be jumped on by a group of cursed Kuo-Toa. These aren’t difficult enemies, but there are several of them so you’ll want to be prepared. After defeating them, look for the body of the Cursed Kuo-Toa Chief and you can loot the Lightning Jabber from him.
