The Belm

In Baldur’s Gate 3, The Belm is a very rare One-Handed Scimitar found in Jaheira’s basement in Act 3. It’s a finesse weapon with decent damage and two special bonuses.

Perfectly Balanced Strike: the bonus enhances the accuracy and speed of your attacks, making your strikes more efficient and ensuring a higher chance of hitting the target. It’s a bonus action, so you can use it with regular attacks, dealing additional damage with better accuracy.

Whirlwind Attack: This bonus allows you to fight multiple foes efficiently at once, making it a powerful choice when surrounded or facing a group of enemies. It enhances your area of effect in combat. Effective against crowds.

You can equip it to your character’s main hand weapon slot in the inventory, providing additional bonuses and buffs. The user needs Martial Weapon proficiency or suffers penalties while wearing the weapon.

How to Get the Belm in Baldur’s Gate 3

BG3 Jaheira the Druid

You can find Belm in the Opulent Chest, hidden behind a bookcase in Jaheira’s Basement, under Elerrathin’s Home (X:-206 Y: -55) in the Lower City, Act 3. You will need a Harp-Shaped Pin to access the basement.

There are two ways to get a Harp-Shaped Pin in Act 3. However, you may have one already if you found it in a pile of viscera in the Oubliette in Act 2.

How to get a Harp-Shaped Pin without Jaheira at your party

Head to the Graveyard and Mortuary at the north of Elfsong Tavern. Inside, you will find many caskets and coffins. Harp-Shaped Pin is in the Mahogany Cascet next to the window. You must steal it, so ensure no one is around or use one of your companions to speak with the lady working there and hold her attention while you obtain the Harp-Shaped Pin.

A cutscene will unfold as her children welcome her. Proceed upstairs and interact with Tate, a small boy in one of the rooms. He will give you the Harp-Shaped Pin.

If you already possess the Harp-Shaped Pin, head directly to the office. As you approach the desk, your party will automatically pass a perception check, revealing a Pin slot on the desk. Interact with it and insert the Harp-Shaped Pin to unveil a hidden passage leading to the basement.

Proceed deeper into the basement, but be aware of the traps. You can disarm them by moving the chest to the left to any other location. It will release the pressure hidden under the chest pressure plate and disable the runes, allowing you a safe pass.

Enter into the small cave with a hut. Here, your party will pass an automatic perception check again, unveiling the loose wooden boards next to the wall and a concealed door behind the tall bookshelf. First, disarm the trap beneath the loose floor wooden boards to access the key. Loot the key and use it to unlock the hidden door hidden behind the bookshelf. Alternatively, you can attempt to unlock the bookcase directly. If you successfully pass an 18 DC Sleight of Hand skill check, it will open.

How to Get Staff of the Ram and Belm in Baldur's Gate 3 - from Opulent Chest

Once in the hidden room in Jaheira’s Basement, open the opulent chest and get the Belm.
