How to Get Poisoner’s Robe in Baldur’s Gate 3
You can get Poisoner’s Robe from Spider Matriarch in Whispering Depths under the Blighted Village during Act 1.
Here is a short overview of how to get the Poisoner’s Robe:
- Complete Prologue: Progress until you reach Act 1
- From Druid Grove Head West to Blighted Village
- Deal with The Goblins: Goblins took control over the destroyed village, you can kill them or convince them you are a worshiper of the absolute just like them.
- Enter the Whispering Depths: You can use the well or go through the smithy basement.
- Travel to the Northwest corner and defeat the spiders and Spider Matriarch.
- Get the Poisoner’s Robe: Loot the Spider’s body. (X: -543 Y: -366)
Enter The Whispering Depths
Firstly, you need to enter the Whispering depths, a cave system underneath the blighted village located to the west of the emerald grove. If you just woke up after the prologue on Ravenged Beach, the Blighted Village is to the north (check the map for reference). Ensure you have companions with you, you will need them, as the fight with the spiders may be challenging. We advise you to reach at least level 3 before going there.
The most straightforward way to reach the spider cave is by using the well located at the heart of Blighted Village. To access this entrance, you’ll need to successfully pass an Investigation skill check. Alternatively, you can opt to visit the Smith’s house, scavenge the area to acquire the key to the cellar, and then head down into the basement. You’ll notice a wall in the cellar that highlights and can be demolished with either an explosive or a two-handed weapon attack. Break down the wall and go deeper into the cave.
Upon turning the corner, you’ll encounter your first enemies. Be cautious when navigating the web bridges, as they can be easily destroyed, especially with fire damage. If a character stands on a web bridge and it gets destroyed, they’ll fall into the chasm below and meet an unfortunate end. Additionally, the web has the potential to ensnare your team temporarily, so try to avoid them whenever possible. However, if an enemy is standing on a web bridge, you can defeat them by destroying it, causing them to either fall into the chasm or suffer fall damage.
Defeat Spider Matriarch
In Spider Cave, called the Whispering Death, you will have to face a challenging battle against the resident spiders. If you possess any spells or potions that grant poison resistance, this is a good moment to utilize them, as all the spiders in this cave deal poison damage. Additionally, we advise you to approach them in stealth and, before initiating combat, target and destroy the small spider eggs scattered throughout the cave (3 nests in total). These eggs are used by the spider matriarch during the battle to hatch additional spiders that will join the combat. While individually, they may not inflict substantial damage, their collective numbers can pose a significant threat, making it crucial to deal with them preemptively.
After the battle, be sure to loot the bodies of the defeated spiders. You can obtain the Poisoner’s Robe from the Spider Matriarch’s remains. That sums up everything you need to know about getting the Poisoner’s Robe in BG3!
