In Baldur’s Gate 3, the Render of Mind and Body shortsword will allow you to deal out additional damage whenever you attack with Advantage. The Psychic Steel Virtuoso is a perk that will allow you to deal another 1-8 points of additional Psychic damage when you attack with Advantage. You can gain Advantage in a variety of ways including by attacking while Hidden or Invisible, or by attacking an enemy that is Blinded, Sleeping, Prone, Entangled, or Paralysed.

How to Get Render of Mind and Body in Baldur’s Gate 3
To get Render of Mind and Body in Baldur’s Gate 3, head to Moonrise Towers during Act 2 and speak with Disciple Z’rell to unlock exclusive inventory from Lann Tarv. It’s crucial to visit Moonrise Towers early in Act 2 to ensure access. Otherwise, delaying may prevent you from interacting with the vendors inside due to advancing game events. Moonrise Towers is located in the southwest portion of the Shadow-Cursed Lands map.
To get inside, you’ll need to convince the guards that you’re a friend through dialogue checks. Once inside, Lann Tarv, the bugbear merchant, is located immediately to the right after entering the main area. Initially, he offers various items, such as the Enraging Heart Garb. However, the Render of Mind and Body shortsword won’t be available until after you’ve spoken to Disciple Z’rell.
Unlock Lann Tarv’s Secret Stash
You can find Disciple Z’rell by going through the large doors in the same space as Lann Tarv – they are marked as the ‘Absolute’s Door’. To either side of the throne inside this new room are staircases that come together in the center. Next, go up either side and up to the second floor. At the top landing go to the left to find Disciple Z’rell.
A dialogue scene will trigger. Z’rell will share information about a lost relic that the General needs. When you get a chance to respond ask her: “What exactly was this relic he was sent to retrieve?” There will then be an Insight check you will need to pass to get a new Persuasion dialogue option to appear. Then, you need to take this dialogue option and pass an 18DC Persuasion check to be successful.
Then when you get a chance to respond to her again, choose: “The relic is vital to Ketheric’s plans – you should be giving me more support.” She will reply that you should return to Lann Tarv and that he is to share her secret stash with you.
Finally, go back downstairs and interact with Lann Tarv. There will now be a dialogue option you can take that tells him Z’rell’s orders. The Render of Mind and Body shortsword will now be available to purchase.
