Learn where you can find Sand in Enshrouded, a helpful resource for crafting and creating shelter for your craftspeople.
How to Get Sand in Enshrouded
To get Sand in Enshrouded you will need to have access to the Kindlewastes area. You can find the best location to farm sand in the area directly west of the Kindlewastes Ancient Spire. To access this region, you will need to Strengthen your Flame Altar to Level 4.
Additionally, the majority of the Kindlewastes area is a desert biome, so once you reach this region Sand shouldn’t be too hard to find. Furthermore, rather than being like a metal ore, which requires you to find specific spots for veins to mine, Sand is more like Dirt. You can use your pick-axe to mine/dig it directly out of the ground.
You’ll be using up a lot of your Stamina wheel when you’re out there digging up Sand in Enshrouded. Therefore, you should bring along food like honey or other consumables with stamina regeneration or endurance. This will help maximize the speed of gathering and the amount of materials you can collect in a run.
What is Sand, and what is it used for?
In Enshrouded Sand is a mid-game material for building shelter in your base, which you will need to do for all of the craftspeople you rescue. Additionally, you can use it to make crafting stations/furniture, which will expand the type of available recipes the craftspeople can offer. The Alchemist’s Mortar recipe is a good example of this and will require:
- 5 Sand
- 10 Lump of Clay
- 3 Sulfur
- 2 Nitrate
- 5 Charcoal
Additionally, you can also create Glass in the Blacksmith’s Smelter with a combination of 30 Sand and 5 Charcoal. Glass is a necessary component to upgraded pieces of crafting and building materials. Crafting better windows and decorations for your shelter can boost the comfort level of your base.
