Exploring different regions, gathering raw materials, and crafting valuable items form the core gameplay loop of Dune Awakening, like any other survival crafting title. As you progress and expand your base, things become more complex. You need rare resources to craft powerful gear and items. Silicone Block is one such resource used to craft various valuable items such as Storage Container, Windtrap, Dew Reaper, as well as powerful armor sets like Radiation Suit.

To make a Silicone Block, you need two basic raw materials, one of which requires you to venture into dangerous zones. Find out how to obtain Silicone Block in Dune Awakening.

To craft a Silicone Block, you need a Small Chemical Refinery. You can find the Small Chemical Refinery schematic under the Research > Construction > Salvage Products section. Once you have constructed a Small Chemical Refinery at your base, you can interact with the facility to craft a Silicone Block using the following:

Obtaining Flour, Sand, and Water

Silicone Blocks are essentially plastic blocks refined from Flour Sand. While obtaining Flour Sand is relatively easy, it requires you to travel to dangerous desert regions. You can find Flour Sand in white, smoke-like sand patches. This smoke-like white sand is predominantly found in the Western Vermillius Gap, the game’s second region.

While you can directly harvest Flour Sand in these zones, using the Static Compactor can make the job much easier and more effective. The tool gathers Flour Sand from a small area and forms it into a pile, allowing you to gather it easily. Since exploring these desert lands and harvesting Flour Sand can attract sandworms, be prepared to make a quick escape if necessary.

As for water, you can easily collect it via several methods such as Blood Purifier, Dew Reaper, and Windtraps. You can also store water in the Water Cistern to conserve a large amount of water reserve for the future.
