Guilds are huge in MMOs, and Dune Awakening takes a step further with exclusive guild perks that you can obtain. So, how do you join a guild?

Dune Awakening’s guild system has existed since the pre-beta versions of the game, and currently, there is a robust guild system present. While Dune Awakening has given players more sandbox elements to play around with, guilds are an important part of the game, especially when you have exclusive guild missions and perks that you can take advantage of. We also explore options for solo players, and most importantly, how to join a guild in Dune Awakening.
How Do You Join a Guild in Dune Awakening?

You can join a guild in-game through the Social tab > Guilds, where guilds advertise their slots and what their guild is all about. But to join a guild, you have to join one of the two factions or houses currently in the game: the Harkonnen or Atreides. Without joining a faction, you cannot join a guild, as guilds are also specific to their own houses. So, there are no multi-house guilds that can be created in the game.
Similarly, there are also guilds advertising in the official Discord server of Dune. If you’re looking for something more niche and specific, like being an Ornithopter operator, you can find guilds there. You can also play as a solo, one-player guild and participate in the exclusive Landsraad missions. However, there are certain advantages to joining a guild with more than one player.
Dune Awakening has a different server system than normal MMOs. This cross-play system lets you travel between servers and worlds to join your friends, without any progress halt to your character or creating an entirely new character. With this cross-play system, you can co-own bases around worlds, as you cannot own any land besides the ones on your home server. Similarly, while this is not exclusive to the guild system in Dune Awakening, you can also take on house missions that are unique to each house.
Why Should You Join a Guild in Dune Awakening?
PvP in an MMO is huge, and Dune also lets you wage wars against other guilds and parties. But remember, friendly fire is on, so you might just burn your friend while in combat. Plus, there is the Landsraad event.
The Landsraad is basically a voting system where players can vote for their houses in the Council of Houses, with the favored house obtaining special buffs and rewards until the next vote (every week). So, having guilds align with their houses gives incentives to lead the battle for Spice in Arrakis.
Additionally, guilds also provide exclusive cosmetics according to their houses, which might be updated later on in Dune Awakening. Plus, the PvPvE events of the Deep Desert will have guilds fighting for land and resources for their houses. Loot isn’t shared for some items, so coordination is of the utmost importance in the guild wars of Dune Awakening.
