The Poison status keeps on depleting your health for a short duration in Monster Hunter Wilds. It is a significant status condition since Poison is inflicted by an attack from the monster. This means that you first take the damage of the attack, and then you are hit with the constant health drain. If you are at low health, the Poison status can potentially mean a faint for you.

There are eight monsters who can inflict the Poison status in Monster Hunter Wilds:

  • Congalala
  • Rompopolo
  • Nerscylla
  • Rathalos
  • Guardian Rathalos
  • Gypceros
  • Rathian
  • Gravios

For these monsters, their tempered and frenzied variants also apply the Poison status to you if you are hit by their attacks.

Note: Guardian Rathalos does not have a frenzied form.
