Learn how to use Wind Turbines at your base to significantly boost your base power production in Dune Awakening.

In Dune Awakening, managing your base efficiently requires a steady and reliable power supply. It contributes to your base’s protection and production facilities. While the basic Fuel-Powered Generators manage your power demand in the early game, they become inadequate as you expand. That’s where the Wind Turbines come in.
These advanced power-generating structures not only significantly increase your power production but also operate automatically as long as they are fueled. If you are unsure how Wind Turbines work or how to set them up in Dune Awakening, this guide will help you out.
How To Get Wind Turbine in Dune Awakening
There are two different versions of Wind Turbines: Wind Turbine Omnidirectional and Wind Turbine Directional. While both share some similar crafting resources, they vary slightly. The following table explains the materials required, as well as unlocking and intel points requirements for both Wind Turbines:
– | Wind Turbine Omnidirectional | Wind Turbine Directional |
Materials Required | 45x Steel Ingot 65x Cobalt Paste 20x Calibrated Servok | 120x Duraluminum Ingot 160x Cobalt Paste 50x Calibrated Servok 3x Spice Melange |
How to Unlock | Research the schematic under Steel Products | Research the schematic under Duraluminum Products |
Intel Points | 10 | 30 |
How To Use Wind Turbine in Dune Awakening

The Wind Turbines can generate power automatically, but they need fuel to operate. Lubricants serve as the fuel to the Wind Turbines, and they come in two types.
Low-Grade Lubricant is used to run Wind Turbine Omnidirectional, while Industrial-Grade Lubricant operates Wind Turbine Directional. You can craft both Lubricants at the Small Chemical Refinery or the Medium Chemical Refinery using Water, Fuel Cell, and Silicone Block, while the Industrial-Grade Lubricant also requires Spice Residue as an additional resource.
Depositing lubricants at the respective Wind Turbines adds fuel and increases the uptime, which in turn generates power as long as it is fueled. You can also deposit more lubricants to extend the uptime further and keep the turbines running longer.
The Wind Turbine Omnidirectional generates 150 power, while the Wind Turbine Directional generates 350 power. You can then re-route this generated power to your base production structures, allowing you to manage your base operations more efficiently.
