Sniper Elite Resistance, the latest addition to the Rebellion’s award-winning franchise, is releasing on January 30, 2025. The much-anticipated action RPG follows the story of Harry Hawker, a Special Operations Executive (SOE) agent, who takes up the mission to stop the Nazis by discovering the powerful Wunderwaffe.
Since the predecessor Sniper Elite 5 featured a co-op mode for its campaign, many players are wondering if Sniper Elite Resistance will follow the same. The answer is yes—Sniper Elite Resistance, the action-adventure shooter, features co-op play, allowing players to complete the campaign either solo or cooperatively.
All Multiplayer Modes in Sniper Elite Resistance
In addition to the co-op play, Sniper Elite Resistance features various multiplayer modes each with a unique set of rules. Engage in competitive battles with up to 16 players to earn XP, medals, and ribbons. Moreover, the fan-favorite Axis Invasion mode makes a return in Sniper Elite Resistance, along with other standard multiplayer modes. Here’s a breakdown of the available multiplayer options:
- No Cross: A Long-range 8v8 team match where both teams are separated by an impenetrable barrier.
- Free-For-All: A solo battle where players compete against others to achieve the highest kill count.
- Team Match: A classical 8v8 team match.
- Squad Match: Players are split into a squad of four members and take up 3 other squads in a 4vs4vs4vs4 match.
- Custom Games: A Personalized match with customized rules from the available game modes.
- Survival: A team of four players defends certain areas against waves of enemies.
- Axis Invasion: Invade another player’s campaign and hunt them down as a German sniper.

How To Play with Friends in Sniper Elite Resistance?
Your in-game friends list automatically displays the active friends from your platform. You can add friends via your console’s network, Steam account, or by linking your Epic Games account. Moreover, the game follows an invite code system to seamlessly connect with your friends. Since Sniper Elite Resistance features crossplay, you can connect with players across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
Co-Op Mode
As already mentioned, the campaign can be played either solo or co-op. You can play the co-op campaign by either hosting or finding a co-op game from the main menu. If you choose to host a co-op game, generate the invite code and share it with your friends to play together. On the other hand, you can also choose to join an open co-op game, which was created by another random player.
Multiplayer Modes
Connecting with friends for multiplayer matches follows the same invite code system used in co-op mode. Click the ‘Multiplayer’ option in the main menu. Choose your desired game mode. Generate the invite code and share it with your friends.
