Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is a highly acclaimed RPG. In this game, you get to play as Henry, who is on an epic journey through 15th Century Bohemia. There are many side quests that you can take on throughout the game. One of them is the Forbidden Fruit Mission, which takes you on a convoluted journey. Here’s everything you need to do to complete this quest.

How To Start Forbidden Fruit Quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
The Forbidden Fruit side quest starts when you complete the side quest Materia Prima. You can obtain the quest from Miller Kreyzl at the Lower Semine Mill. You need to find a saltpetre pit and taste it to confirm if it is saltpetre.
From here, go to the marked location on your map. Head there, and you can find Bonnie and Zinek outside the marked hut.
Talking to Bonnie
Speak to Bonnie outside the hut after reaching the marked location. Bonnie explains what saltpetre looks like and how it forms. This is a great chance to increase some reputation, so follow the dialogues below:
- I’m looking for a saltpetre pit.
- (Pick any nickname)
- I have something for you. (Give her 1 of any herbs you have)
- I can’t wait to see what comes of it.
- Let’s talk.
- A family of blacksmiths.
- He seems mystical.
- That’s a lot.
- No, I don’t.
- A gravedigger?
Without delay, she suggests you pay a visit to Gravedigger Ignatius to the south of Troskowitz. Do note that this section of the Forbidden Fruit sidequest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is entirely skippable. Furthermore, you can directly go to the saltpetre pit and skip nearly the entirety of this mission. However, we recommend completing it as intended to avoid missing story details and extra rewards.

Helping Gravedigger Ignatius in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
Go to the east side of Troskowitz and look around the graveyard. You can find Gravedigger Ignatius somewhere around there. Ask him about the saltpetre pit, and he will be confused about why you are looking for one. At this point, tell him the truth. After that, he understands what you are talking about and offers to take you where he dumps carcasses in return for helping him make his rounds.
Gravedigger Ignatius suggests you go with him at 5 am, and you will lose your reputation if you suggest any other time. After talking, simply pass the time till 5 am and talk to him again. Follow Ignatius to his wagon, where you have to ride along with him. Throughout the ride, you can talk with Ignatius about various topics. After this, you reach the location where you need to help Ignatius acquire a carcass.
Obtaining the Carcasses in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
At the location, you have to enter a rundown building to retrieve the carcass. There are two ways to enter the building.
- Lockpick the door, which has a very hard lock. High skill is required to pass it.
- Climb over the barrels behind the building and enter through an open window.
Once inside, you can bag up the deer carcass and open the door from the inside. Go outside to the wagon and dump the bag in. You can see some farmhands talking to Ignatius. They are complaining to him about Bonnie and Zinek; Ignatius requests you to defuse the situation. You can either persuade or fight the farmhands. Once you have dealt with them, talk to Ignatius to continue riding to your next job. You are halfway down with the Forbidden Fruit sidequest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 at this point.
On the way to the next farm, Ignatius talks about a curse that is making the pigs sick. You can check on it when you reach your next destination. Once at the farm, use your map to reach the source of the infection, where you see multiple decaying deers that are polluting the water. Go back to Ignatius and inform him about this. He will help you clean it in one hour. You can then go around the village and collect the carcasses to put them on the wagon.

Dealing With the Dog in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
After this, head to the next destination, where you need to poison a dog that is attacking livestock in that area. Ignatius tells you about the hut where the dog is locked and sends you off. You will follow the marker on your map and reach the spot only to find it empty.
Lastly, go east outside the village towards a big tree in the middle of the open field. Here, you again meet with Bonnie, who is standing with the dog you are told to kill. She tells you how badly the dog is treated by his master, causing it to kill livestock out of anger. Here, you get the option to kill the dog or to not kill it.
- You gain a reputation if you spare the dog, after which Bonnie takes off with it.
- You lose your reputation if you decide to kill the dog and Bonnie gets angry with you.
Finally, after taking care of this, go back to Ignatius and inform him. Lie to him in case you spared the dog and pass the skill check to not lose your reputation. Nonetheless, Ignatius takes you to the pit, where you can stand and taste it. Ignatius also rewards you with Knacker’s Gloves for accompanying and helping him the whole time.
Forbidden Fruit Quest Rewards in KCD 2
Once you have tasted it, you can report back to Miller Kreyzl in the Lower Semine Mill. Finally, this completes the Forbidden Fruit mission in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. You then receive the following rewards for completing the quest:
- 85 Groschen
- Increased reputation
- The Silence of the Cat II
