In this guide, we will go through the Kingdom Come Deliverance 2′ Lion’s Den quest. So let’s go and steal The Finger of God.
In the Lion’s Den quest players will have the objective to become a member of Sigismund’s camp and steal a powerful canon named the Finger of God. It is one of the thirty-two main quests in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. We must avail the canon to defeat Lord Von Bergow and destroy Mahelsove. However, infiltrating Sigisumund’s camp and getting your hands on the canon is not going to be easy.
There are a lot of objectives in this mission, from getting enlisted in the camp to investigating and solving murders. But do not worry, because, in this article, we will tell you everything you need to know about Kingdom Come Deliverance 2′ Lion’s Den mission.
How To Complete The Lion’s Den Quest In Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
First, we need to find Zizka in Devil’s Den to discuss the ambush in the previous quest and what to do next. Once you reach the marker shown above, speak to Zizka, and all of your allies will gather around you. The plan will be quite simple—you will need to steal a canon named Finger of God from Sigismund’s camp, as we discussed earlier, to launch an attack on Maleshov.
Zizka will tell you that the canon is getting moved from the camp, which could present the perfect opportunity for an ambush. But there is a problem—he does not know when the Finger of God will be moved. So naturally, Henry’s allies will ask him to join the Prague of Sigismund’s army to gather more information about the canon.
Talk To Katherine
Now, go to Sigismund’s camo and speak to Katherin, she will be working at the bathhouses. Tell her your plan and she will suggest you talk to a soldier named Stephan Crow because he is a part of the Regiment. However, you cannot meet him anytime you wish. Wait till noon then go to meet him in the shooting range to enlist. Otherwise, he will be on duty and you won’t be able to reach him.
You will have to convince Crow to allow you to join. So, pick the dialogue options with the highest stats. If you are successful, he will ask you to speak to the commander. The commander will give you a task to do first. To win his approval, you shall find a missing group of soldiers and bring back a special document from them. Speak to Myshek in the infirmary to get your first clue but he will be unconscious. So, talk to Musa instead.
Find The Special Document
Musa will tell you that Myshek mentioned “Old Lhota” before he passed out. Now, we must go to Old Lhota to find the missing soldiers. It will be in the southern region of Kuttenberg. Once you are there, you will find seven soldiers inside a sawmill. You can either kill them one by one silently or you can face them head-on. Remember to grab the key to the painted chest from the soldier with the white shirt.
Then go upstairs to the building next to the sawmill, there you will find the painted chest. The Lost Charter for King Sigismund will be in it. Use the keys you collected earlier and grab the charter from the chest. After that, return to the camp and give it to Commander Katz. You will see Henry, Musa, and Katz drinking and celebrating next in a cutscene but a soldier will interrupt and tell you all that someone has attempted an assassination on Commander Chertan.
Investigate the Crime Scene
All three of you will then go to the crime scene and find Commander Chertan of the Cumans on the ground with multiple stab wounds. Other soldiers will take Chertan away while you stay behind to investigate. Start with inspecting the blood on the ground first, and then go to the north of said blood and check out those places. Once you are done, report to Katz. Katz will then head to the infirmary to check on Chertan, who will eventually die.
Shortly after, it will be revealed that Chertan did not die from the stab wounds. Someone poisoned the wine that Musa gave to Chertan, which caused his death. Naturally, the blame will fall on Musa, but Henry and Katz will vouch for him. However, it would not work, and Musa would be sentenced to death. Now, to save Musa, Henry must find the real killer.
Sneak Your Way To Musa
Talk to Musa because he was the last person to see Chertan before the attempt. However, Musa will be guarded, so you will have to sneak your way to him. You can throw a pebble to distract the guard, or you can ask Katherine for her help. Once you reach Musa, he will tell you that you will have to read the “Book of Poisons” and inspect the body to find the real killer.
Look for the Book of Poison in the locked chest in the infirmary. The lock has an easy difficulty, so you won’t have a problem with opening it. Now, grab the book and carefully read to the last page. The corpse of Chertan will be next to the Book of Poison—start inspecting it. Remember to check every part of the body, including the head, legs, and arms. Keep inspecting until you discover that he had spasms before he died.
Search The Tents
Now that we know the symptoms, it is time to match it with the book. Go to the page labeled “Kiss of Death,” and at the halfway mark, you will learn that this specific poison causes spasms. You will have to speak to Musa next. Tell him what you discovered, and Musa will ask you to check four tents to find out if any of them have the ingredients of the poison. The five suspects are Stephen Crow, Grozav, Musa Adalbert, and Radovan.
In this part of the quest, you will have to inspect all kinds of stuff in the four tents. So, follow the instructions below to know what to examine in the tents:
- Stephen Crow’s Tent: Rose water, Wood, and Nails.
- Musa’s Tent: Vessel and Potions.
- Grozav’s Tent: Herbs.
- Adalbert and Radovan’s Tent: Bed, and Broom.
After the investigation, it will be obvious that Stephen Crow made the poison. So naturally, he is the murderer.
Go To The Trial
Now, you will have to go to the trial and save Musa. Remember that in this section, you will have to choose some specific dialogues to succeed. If you pick the wrong lines thrice then the mission will be over. So, carefully pick the dialogues in the order given below:
- “Musa is Innocent”
- “He was with us at the time of the stabbing”
- “Corporal Stephen Crow”
- “Crow poisoned the wine when Musa wasn’t looking”
- “You brewed a poison called Kiss of Death”
If you choose these options, the council will be convinced and turn on Crow. Soon, Stephen Crow will get angry and try to fight his way out of the trial but it should be easy for you to defeat him.
Ambush and Seize The Finger Of God
Since the real killer is dead now, Katz will take you to Sigismund’s camp which means it is time to move Finger of God. The first thing you need to do here is go back to Katherine and tell her that they will move the canon soon. She will then go to Zizka and inform him that the time for the ambush has come. Now, go back to Katz and tell him you are ready to go to Sadletz.
Then, at last, Zizka and your allies will attack the canon and seize it on its way to Sadletz. Once all the enemies are defeated, speak to Zizka to complete the Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Lion’s Den quest.
