How To Complete Taking Care of Lex Quest in Oblivion Remastered
To begin, talk to S’Krivva in her house in Bravil. You’ll first have to unlock this quest by stealing 500 Gold worth of items and completing Lost Histories. S’Krivva wants to eliminate Hieronymus Lex by reassigning him to Anvil. You need to forge a letter recommending Lex to the Countess to do so.
Head to the Anvil Main Gate and talk to Olvus. He will tell you of a Blacksmith who knows of secret passages into the castle. Head to Castle Anvil and talk to Orrin in the Dining Hall. Follow Orrin to the secret passage and use it to enter the Private Quarters. Search Dairihill’s desk to retrieve the list of candidates and then exit the castle.
Exit the castle and back to Olvus at the main gate. Talk to him and he will tell you of a Master Forger for a small fee. You will find this forger, the Stranger, in the evening in the Abandoned House in Anvil. Talk to the Stranger and he will forge the letter within 24 hours.
Take the letter to the Imperial City Prison and the Imperial Legion Offices. Use the Imperial Legion Seal to seal the letter and deliver it to Countess Umbranox in the Castle Anvil Throne Room. Then, head to the Imperial City Temple District to inform Lex of his reassignment to complete the quest.
