Players don’t get access to Oak Wood until many hours into RuneScape Dragonwilds. Check out this guide on how to farm them.

Oak Wood is a difficult resource to farm in Runescape Dragonwilds. What we mean by that statement is that players can’t obtain it right from the beginning. Wood from an Oak tree can only be felled with a logging axe. The first axe you can craft is a Bronze Logging Axe.
Unfortunately, there is no shortcut to obtaining a Bronze Axe, and you must progress in the game to get your hands on the Bronze mineral. Before we discuss ways to obtain Bronze, let’s see where you can get Oak Wood.
Finding Oak Trees in RuneScape Dragonwilds

A lot of survival game fans might already know what distinguishes Oak from other trees. For the uninformed, they tend to have slightly different colored leaves and a darker bark. In RuneScape Dragonwilds, you will spend many hours farming Ash Trees. Oaks will appear slightly different in comparison.
As one would expect, they generate randomly across the map. Since they are pretty distinct-looking trees, you won’t have difficulty spotting them. If you think you have felled all Oak trees in your vicinity, wait for 3-4 in-game days, and their spawn should have refreshed in the area. But don’t think of cutting down Oak trees before making a logging axe out of Bronze (or a better material). That’s because you can’t farm Oak until you have the right tools.
Obtaining Bronze in RuneScape Dragonwilds

Unlike a logging axe, the mining pickaxe doesn’t need bronze to start off. Instead, players can start with a Bone Pickaxe. So, your progress with mining starts comparatively earlier in the game. In areas like the Fractured Plains, you will be able to find Copper and Tin ore nodes. You can then mine these minerals for your benefit.
Once you have these resources, you must get some Charcoal and a Furnace. The Furnace can be crafted using the following ingredients: Stone (24), Clay (8), Charcoal (4), Fire Runes (10), and Vault Shards (8). Charcoal can be obtained by putting Ash Logs in a Kiln, and Vault Shards are obtained by killing Vault Guardians. The latter is also related to building a fast travel system in RuneScape Dragonwilds.
Interact with your Furnace and put Copper and Tin ores in the top two boxes while Charcoal goes in the box below them. This will produce Bronze Bars. Now that you have Bronze Bars, the following recipe will get you a Bronze Logging Axe:
- Bronze Bar (5)
- Ash Logs (4)
- Coarse Thread (2)
