The next set of content for the Schedule 1 Cartel Update has arrived in the beta patch 0.4.0f2. The new update features a new gameplay mechanic called the graffiti system. Additionally, there are also a few bug fixes and tweaks to improve other mechanics in the game. However, keep in mind that the new content is only available in the beta version. This means it will take a while before this update gets added to the base game.

What Is New in the Latest Schedule 1 Beta Patch 0.4.0f2 Update?

New Gameplay Features

For the new content, the graffiti system is now live in the Schedule 1 beta branch. This system lets you vandalize various areas in Hyland Point using spray paint. Doing this will lower the cartel influence of that specific area. You also gain a bit of XP from this, which helps in ranking up fast.

As for the new item, Spray Paint, you can purchase it at Gas Mart for $10 cash. You need this item to draw graffiti on empty walls and vandalize areas of Hyland Port. You consume one spray can each time you vandalize a wall.

Tweaks and Improvements

  • Adjustments for the cooldown of Cartel activities in their territory. 
  • The price multiplier of all weapons you sell is now lower, so you lose less money if you are selling them.
  • Catel Influence no longer rises passively.
  • The game’s file size is drastically lowered by disabling JSON pretty-print for the trash save file.
  • Pickpocketing the police is more difficult to pull off.

Bug Fixes

  • Issues with missing soil material have been fixed.
  • The problem where cartel dealers don’t work outside of Westville has been fixed. 
  • Tunnel below the Hyland Manor no longer resets on reload.
  • The Hyland Manor will no longer reset its state (original, destroyed, rebuilt) on reload.
  • The “region unlocked” pop-up should appear as intended. 
  • Cartel Influence should now sync fine on multiplayer.
  • Issues with compass cardinal direction indicators have been fixed. 
  • Players should no longer disconnect when knocking on Pillville while in a multiplayer session.
  • Players can no longer drag the Cartel Influence slider.
  • The dealers will now notify the players every time they run out of supplies.
  • The problems with loading docks in the Hyland Manor are fixed.
  • Fixed multiplayer disconnection when you fail pickpocketing as a non-host.
  • Fixed vehicle AI not parking.
