Assassin’s Creed Shadows has two playable characters with completely different playstyles. Naoe, one of the protagonists, is a skilled ninja who is adept at assassinating enemies from the shadows. She has a total of six skill trees, each upgrading various traits of her arsenal. The Assassin skill tree is vital as Naoe’s whole playstyle revolves mainly around assassinating her targets.

To help you master assassination using Naoe, here are her five best Assassin skill tree upgrades in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

1) Reinforced Blade

Reinforced Blade is an assassin passive that unlocks at Knowledge Rank 3. This simple, yet useful passive, allows you to now assassinate large enemies in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.  

Large enemies become formidable in combat. Moreover, Naoe’s skillset doesn’t suit a head-on confrontation. Unlocking the ability to assassinate them is a huge boon as you progress through the game. You can finish them off without even starting a fight.

2) Assassination Damage I

Assassination Damage I is an assassin passive branching from the Hidden Blade skill. Additionally, this passive can be unlocked very early on at Knowlege Rank 2. With Assassination Damage I, Naoe now removes one more segment of health from enemies during assassinations. 

This is a particularly strong passive, due to two further upgrades that each remove one additional health segment, totaling four health segments.

3) Vigor I

In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Naoe starts with only one adrenaline chunk. Moreover, adrenaline chunks are required to use Naoe’s active abilities during combat. Vigor I increases her adrenaline chunk by one. This means, that now you can use more active abilities in succession without worrying about recharging it. 

Vigor II and Vigor III provide one adrenaline chunk each, bringing the total up to four. This is quite helpful as you keep unlocking more active abilities for Naoe.

4) Double Assassinate

Double Assassinate is an assassin passive that becomes unlockable at Knowledge Rank 2. This passive allows Naoe to assassinate two enemies who are standing close to each other with one single attack. One thing you have to keep a reminder of is that you are going to be outnumbered a lot of times in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Having Double Assassinate unlocked, can save you in many such situations.

5) Hand of the Creed

Hand of the Creed is a late-game unlock, which becomes available at Knowledge Rank 5. However, this is a priority unlock when it comes to Naoe’s assassination skills. This assassin passive makes it so that enemies can no longer deny the hidden blade even if they see Naoe approaching. 

This means with this passive, you can now run to the enemy at full speed and assassinate them even if you get spotted in the process. Assassination completely changes with this skill as you can now be quick and lethal.
