Ubisoft has recently announced a lot of new additions to the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Despite the leak, the developer’s recent decisions have delighted the AC community and kept their faith in the franchise. The fans are particularly happy about the fact that Ubisoft is finally listening to the community and making an active effort to serve the players better.
Now, if you like the idea of getting a weapon in Shadows even before the game’s release, absolutely for free, then you would like one of the collaborations Ubisoft has made recently.
Among Ubisoft’s many successful marketing campaigns, fans like one in particular more than the others. The French studio has engaged in a collaboration with a beverage company named Sprecher Brewery. Still, you may ask how that benefits the fans. Well, Sprecher Brewery’s root beer cans now come with a special QR code that you can scan to get Yasuke’s Slash of Sprecher Naginata in Assassin’s Creed Shadows if you have a Ubisoft Connect account.
How To Redeem the QR Code
However, there was a slight blunder. Sprecher’s marketing team accidentally uploaded some pictures of the root beer cans with the visible QR code, resulting in many fans redeeming it and getting the weapon without buying the product.
Once you have the QR code, scan it, and it will take you to the Sprecher X Assassin’s Creed Shadows website shown above. Now, enter your credentials there, such as your name and email address, and soon you will receive an email from Sprecher Brewery with a digital code and an official redeeming link attached to it.
Then, click on the “Redeem Now” option and log in with your Ubisoft account. It will open a new page, where you must enter the digital code that came with the email. After you are done, you will get a message that Yasuke’s Slash of Sprecher Naginata has been added to your Ubisoft account.
More Collaborations in the Future?
This could be the first of many free content plans for Shadows, as Ubisoft’s reported collaboration with Red Bull back in November 2024 suggests that there might be more things coming. However, since the game’s delay, we haven’t heard anything regarding this partnership.
