Ibuki is a former ronin and is recruited by making the right dialogue choices within their own set of quests in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Yasuke will be the primary character in recruiting this ally to your cause.

This companion can help out immensely in battle by shattering enemy armor bars, making them extremely useful. Here is how to find and recruit Ibuki to your league.

Where To First Find Ibuki in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

This will be similar to Oni-Yuri’s recruitment procedure. Ibuki will have their own set of quests you will need to complete if you wish to make them join your side. You first meet this companion during the Ambush Interrupted quest located in Kashiwara village. The location is shown in the image above.

This quest must be done by Yasuke. Here, you should select the ‘I have changed‘ dialogue option when given the choice. During this same mission, later on, you should select ‘I would exile him‘ when asked. If you make all the wrong dialogue choices, then you will not be able to recruit Ibuki.

After completing the previous quest, the next objective, Homecoming will be unlocked. This is the quest you will need to finish to finally make Ibuki join your league. During this quest, you will have to make one last major decision to make sure Ibuki joins you. Let Kyobei join the fight when you are given the decision, which should make Ibuki happy.

Moreover, you should also focus and ensure that Kyobei is kept alive in the fight. However, even if Kyobei dies, Ibuki will join your cause as long as you make the rest of the decisions correctly. (If you want to romance Ibuki, select the dialogue with the heart symbol next to them whenever they appear.)
