Assassin’s Creed Shadows: My Name is Yasuke Mission Guide

In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, the My Name is Yasuke quest sends our protagonist to hunt down a Templar named Duarte de Melo.

My Name is Yasuke is one of the questlines that is a part of the protagonist’s journey in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. During it, players will be trying to hunt down members of the Templar Order. In this specific quest, Yasuke will have to track and then kill a man named Duarte de Melo.

It is a simple quest, but to unlock it, you will need to complete the Dark Waves, Black Ships first. In this guide, we will walk you through the ‘My Name is Yasuke’ quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

How To Complete My Name is Yasuke Quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Players will find various clues about the Duarte de Melo during the Dark Waves, Black Ships storyline. So, the My Name is Yasuke quest primarily focuses on killing the man. To give a summary of Duarte’s character, he is a templar who tormented Yasuke and his mother. At the start of this mission, you will be looking for your target in areas near Lake Suigetsu. However, you won’t find him there, so you will need to check his ship as well.

Once you reach the objective marker, you will find six Portuguese soldiers talking about Duarte on the shore. One of them will have an item called the “Order from Duarte.” It will contain the location of your target. So, kill all of the soldiers and take it from them.

Now, you should have the next location marked on your map automatically. You will then see two soldiers harassing a boatman. Take the oppressors out in any way you wish.

Defeating Duarte de Melo in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

After that, speak to the boatman and convince him to take you to Duarte de Melo’s ship. This interaction will then trigger a cutscene where you will see Yasuke traveling to Duarte’s ship. Then, Yasuke will confront his target, and a boss fight will begin.

Duarte de Melo uses a gun and a sword in battle. So, the fight won’t be anything fancy. He does not have a unique fighting style. So, just keep dodging his heavy attacks. If you get the timing right, he will become vulnerable, and then you can hit him with heavy attacks of your own. Strike him with a mix of light and heavy attacks, and eventually you will drain all of his health. Once his life is completely depleted, Yasuke will finish Duarte de Melo off in a cutscene.

This ends the My Name is Yasuke quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Additionally, you will get the following rewards for completing this mission:

• Headshot Damage for Teppo Master (Engraving)
• No More Distractions (Quest item)
• 2 Mastery Points
• 1000 XP
