Assassin’s Creed Shadows: How To Change Time

Find out how you can change time in Assassin’s Creed Shadows and use natural light or darkness to your advantage.

The Claws of Awaji DLC has finally brought in a much required feature and you will now be able to change the time in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. With this change, you will be able to focus more on Naoe’s stealth gameplay, since you can almost always skip time and take on missions after dark. Unlike many other games where you can change to any time, Shadows does restrict your options unfortunately.

You will only be able to change time in Assassin’s Creed Shadows after unlocking the Nando building and upgrading it to Level 2. As such, you will need a significant amount of resources for this action as well. Once you have made this upgrade, changing time automatically unlocks, and it involves pressing only a single button. How To Unlock The Ability To Change Time in Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

As mentioned, you must build the Nando and upgrade it to level 2 in order to change time in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Follow these steps to easily do this:

• Head to your Hideout in Izumi Settsu, and head to the Hiroma or the main building.
• Go to the room that allows you to upgrade your Hideout.
• Enter the Build Mode, and go to the Themed Rooms option.
• Select the Nando and build it.
• Finally, upgrade the Nando to Level 2.

At level 1, the Nando building will ensure that you spend 30% less Mons to replenish scouts from any of your kakurejas.

Resources To Build And Upgrade Nando in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

To build the Nando in your Assassin’s Creed Shadows hideout, you will need the following materials:

• Crops x440
• Wood x 330
• Minerals x110
• Mons x1160

To upgrade the Nando to level 2, you will further need the following resources:

• Crops x1840
• Wood x1360
• Minerals x460
• Mons x4700

Once your Nando is at level 2, you can change the time in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

How To Change Time In Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

To change time in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you simply need to hold L on keyboard or the upwards direction key on your controller’s D-Pad. This will put Naoe or Yasuke into a meditating posture (similar to Kuji-Kiri), and the time will skip to the next 6’o clock. This essentially means that you can only skip time till 6:00 AM or 6:00 PM in-game time.

However, this is not a dealbreaker, since waiting just a few minutes after 6:00 PM cuts off all the light and makes it dark in the game. This is the perfect opportunity to play as Naoe and use the cover of darkness in missions.
