Assassin’s Creed Shadows Claws of Awaji DLC: Reunion Quest Walkthrough

The Reunion quest is the second mission in Assassin’s Creed Shadows Claws of Awaji DLC. In it, players must find a captive shinobi in the Sumoto Castle on the island of Awaji. Naturally, you first have to complete the ‘A Shinobi on Awaji’ mission to reach this point in the story, in which Naoe learns about the captive’s location.

Traversing a castle and finding the individual can be tricky. But don’t worry, here’s a comprehensive walkthrough of the entire quest.

Reunion Quest Walkthrough in Assassin’s Creed Shadows Claws of Awaji DLC

As we mentioned briefly, Naoe first learns some significant information about the captured shinobi during the first mission in the Claws of Awaji DLC. After that, you will be tasked with reaching and then infiltrating Sumoto Castle to find the prisoner.

Your only clue will be that the individual in question is held under a tenshu of Sumoto Castle. Since you will be playing as Naoe, this segment will involve stealth gameplay. So, you must get into the castle unnoticed.

Infiltrate Sumoto Castle

First, you must travel to the castle, which is in the north of Yura and the northeast of the Fukura Bay. Of course, it will be heavily guarded, so you must find a different way in. For that, swiftly make your way towards the northern part of the castle’s exterior. Then use Naoe’s grappling hook to reach the wall’s rooftop there. After that, turn right and keep walking towards the northwest corner, to the large castle structure.

Then, use the grappling hook yet again to reach the top of that particular castle building. When you reach it, take the rooftops like a true assassin and parkour your way to the other castle on the east side. Try to be as sneaky as possible because there will be multiple guards there. Take them out from the vantage point you are holding or any other way you prefer. Naoe’s bow is also a great option for this.

Find the Captured Shinobi

Once they are dead, use the staircase there. Make your way past all three floors and keep going downwards. Eventually, the objective marker will appear on a door, which is the location of the captured shinobi. The moment you go through it, a cutscene will be triggered, and it will mark the end of the Reunion quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows Claws of Awaji DLC.
