Players get two different choices to find information about a captured Shinobi in the A Shinobi on Awaji quest. It is the first mission in the Assassin’s Creed Shadows Claws of Awaji DLC. The structure and objective of it are fairly simple, but the dilemma that it imposes on gamers can be confusing to many.

In this walkthrough, we will discuss both ways of completing this quest and their outcomes.

Once you have completed the Pupper Show quest, you will unlock Awaji Island as part of the DLC. After traveling to said island, take the boat there to reach the sea coast. Then, open your objective board to take a look at the People of Awaji. There, you will notice three distinct ways to tackle the A Shinboi on Awaji quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows Claws of Awaji. Also, you can earn 2000 XP by eavesdropping at the docks. After that, either go to the inn or the stables.

Visiting the Inn

If you choose the Inn out of the two options, then you will have to travel to the place in Sumoto. After that, your task will be to gather information from the civilians there. To do that, walk into the Inn and then try to blend in with the people sitting there. Now, you must carefully listen to the guard and innkeeper’s conversation; you can use the game’s eavesdrop feature for that.

When they are done talking and start to go their separate ways, follow the guard to see where he is going. Eventually, he will enter a restrictive area. Naturally, you cannot just enter through the front door. This is the time to utilize Naoe’s parkour and stealth skills like a true assassin. Get onto the rooftops of the various buildings and houses there and keep following the guard.

At some point, he will stop. When that happens, go and interact with him to get three different prompts. The following are the outcomes of the choices you will have to make.

  1. Tell me or Die: Get into a fight and defeat the guard to extract information regarding the captured shinobi’s location.
  2. Please, this is important: Despite looking like a peaceful option, if you choose this, you will still have to fight the guard for the information.
  3. I can pay (2000): By choosing this option, you will bribe the guard with 2,000 Mon and get the information without conflict.

Visiting the Stables

Alternatively, if you choose the stables over the inn, then you must travel to the marked location and then take cover in the haystack there. After that, again, you must listen to the civilian and carpenter’s conversation there by using the eavesdrop option. You will learn about a report in the Samurai Residence.

It is a restrictive area, so after reaching there, you must use stealth to enter the house. Once inside, steal the report and get out. Through it, Naoe will learn about the captive shinobi’s whereabouts.

Remember that both of these ways are viable options, and there is no wrong or more beneficial one. Additionally, you can move on to the Reunion quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows Claws of Awaji after getting the information about the shinobi.
