Right after the Prison Breakout quest, the next task is to find the final Regalia. To do this, you must first locate the Bo master at the Kannoji Temple and take the key. Start making your way to the western side of Awaji Island and meet the Bo Master near the temple.

Once you spot the master, approach him and ask for the key. Naoe will also receive the Bo staff after the initial interaction. You will then go through a brief yet challenging training program to better understand this weapon.

Learning the Way of the Bo

Similar to the base game, you will get a tutorial on how to use your new weapon. There are different techniques and postures you must perform to perfection to proceed.

These are all the different postures while using the Bo Staff:

  • Neutral Posture
  • High Posture
  • Low Posture

These moves and attacks require timing, and you must perform each one three times to get the master’s approval. After completing all of the training objectives, you will face one last challenge before progressing the story: defeating the Bo Master.

It would not be an Assassin’s Creed mission without a boss fight. It is the perfect opportunity to apply all of the new techniques you have just learned with the Bo staff. We recommend striking near the master’s feet to make him lose his footing.

After winning the fight, he will point you in the right direction to find the key, which is at the Mountainside Ruins. This marks the end of the quest and the beginning of the next main quest: A Long Lost Key.
