The Claws Of Awaji DLC for Assassin’s Creed Shadows adds a decent amount of content that should have you spend quite some time once again. Although the overall content is not very big, the raised level cap, tougher enemy encounters, and mastering Naoe’s new weapon can take quite a bit of time. Up until you kill some characters, the Awaji itself poses as a hostile location, and carelessness can cause you to die a lot of times. This alone can bump up the total time it takes you to finish the DLC storyline.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows has around 10-hours long story content in the Claws of Awaji DLC. However, it is possible to take lesser (or more) time based on how you approach certain missions. In this article, we will explore the completion times of the Claws of Awaji DLC in details.

On average, the story of Assassin’s Creed Shadows Claws of Awaji DLC is 10-hour long, as mentioned before. However, this can change based on your playstyle:

  • Speedrun: 8 hours
  • Normal: 10-11 hours
  • Completionist: 30 hours

Speedrun Experience

The story content of Claws of Awaji DLC does not have a lot of scope to speedrun, but you can still do it in around eight hours. The key space where you can save time is by not killing all of Tomeji’s captains, and then focusing only on him during the final encounter. Although this greatly increases the difficulty of this fight in terms of number, expert target prioritizing and dodges makes it possible.

Normal Gameplay Experience

Most players will take around 10-11 hours to complete the entire story of Assassin’s Creed Shadows Claws of Awaji DLC. The new region does not have a lot of side quests. The little that there are, you really need to look for them. Even if you end up methodically completing every step for the main missions, it should not exceed the 11-hour long mark to complete the DLC.

Completionist Run

A completionist run in Claws of Awaji DLC would entail leveling up Naoe and Yasuke to level 100, and doing the same for all their gear and weapons as well. You will also need to upgrade your Hideout to accommodate for the new levels. Finally, you will also need to master the Bo Staff for Naoe and the new weapon skills for Yasuke.

Once these are done, the new activities including Kata, Temples, and Shrines, you need to finish these off as well. Taking all of this into account, a completionist run for the Assassin’s Creed Shadows Claws of Awaji DLC will be at least 30-hours long, and can go past this mark based on your pace as well.
