Where to Find All Five Legendary Animals in Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

Assassin’s Creed Shadows features five Legendary animals, and four of them are season-specific, meaning they only appear in a particular season at a specific time of the day. If they have not spawned there, walk away for about 200-300 meters, and then head back to the locations again to increase their spawn chances.

1) Legendary Macaque

The Legendary Macaque, also known as Legendary Wise Monkeys, is located at the Little Leaf Glade in the Yamashiro region. Head to the Sarumaru Shrine, east of Little Leaf Glade. Legendary Macaque is the only legendary animal that can spawn in all four seasons of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, but only at night. Reach the top of the Shrine using the stairs to spot the three Wise Monkeys in front of the Buddha Statue.

2) Legendary White Tanuki

The Legendary Tanuki, a white Japanese Racoon Dog appears in summer during the daytime. You can find the Tanuki at Shigaraki Hamlet, which is located northwest of Iga in the Shimmering Fields region. Follow the stairs and climb towards a small mountain at Shigaraki Hamlet to spot the Legendary Tanuki lying on the ground.

3) Legendary Grey Heron

The Legendary Grey Heron appears only in the daytime during winter. You can spot the Grey Heron at Lake Suigetsu, North of Wakasa, between Obama and Mount Uchinakao. As Lake Suigetsu fills with snow during winter, it makes the perfect setting to find and paint the Grey Heron.

4) Legendary Silver Fox

The Legendary Silver Fox is a little tricky to spot as it appears only in the dead of night during autumn. It spawns near the cliff at Kamimisu Inari Shrine, which is located at the Nakahechi Route in the Kii region. You can use the Kamimisu Heights viewpoint to fast travel to the location. As you enter the Kamimisu Inari Shrine, you will notice various fox statues that lead your way to the top of the Shrine, where the Fox sits at the cliff’s edge.

5) Legendary Sakura Shika Deer

The Legendary Sakura Shika Deer spawns only at night during spring. You can find the Deer in the south of Yamato province, west of Yoshino. You can get there easily via the Mountain Blossom Pagoda travel point. Head a few steps east of the viewpoint to reach Sakura Meadow. Climb the top of the small mountain top at the Sakura Meadow to witness the Legendary Sakura Shika Deer, distinguished by glowing antlers.
