Players must help Yasuke find and rescue Naoe in the Assassin’s Creed Shadows Claws of Awaji DLC’s ‘Not Alone in this World’ quest.
The Not Alone in This World quest is the third mission in Assassin’s Creed Shadows Claws of Awaji DLC, and it takes place after the events of the Reunion questline. This time, the POV switches, and players will have to play as Yasuke to rescue Naoe and Tsuyu from captivity. In addition to that, there are two different ways to do it. So, in this guide, we will explore the mission in detail and walk you through it.
Not Alone in This World Quest Walkthrough in Assassin’s Creed Shadows Claws of Awaji DLC
As we mentioned, Naoe and the captured Shinobi named Tsuyu are captured during the events of the Reunion quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows Claws of Awaji DLC. Then, Yasuke will have to help them out and get them out of the sticky situation. For that, reach the location of the Sumoto castle just like you did in the previous mission.
Then, you can use Yasuke‘s brute force and burst in through the main door, or you can take the sneaky way in through a secret passage. The former is quite straightforward, where you have to kill every guard you see to rescue Naoe. For the latter, you will get a note from Hattori Hanzo himself. It will contain the information about the mentioned pathway.
More specifically, the note says: Follow the southeast of Sumoto Town. At the twisted tree, look to the right. Near the top of the winding path, there is a collapsed entrance.
How To Find and Use the Secret Passage to Sumoto Castle
To find the pathway Hanzo mentioned, you must go toward Sumoto Castle, in the southeast of the town. You can also go east from the Sumoto Hachimani Shrine. On your way, you will meet a peasant, who will offer help to find Naoe. Remember that this is a trap, so do not engage with it.
After that, keep going further southeast to locate the mentioned twisted tree. Once you have found it, go towards the southeast from there. As you walk towards the castle, Yasuke will use some voice lines to let you know that you are taking the right path. The secret passage will be on the northwest of Sumoto Castle, just beyond the wall.
Go inside the passage and interact with the box blocking your way to create a new opening. After that, a gap will open, and you can crawl through it to reach the other side. There, you will have to run through the door to break it. As soon as you do it, a cutscene will be triggered. It will mark the end of the ‘Not Alone in This World’ quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows Claws of Awaji DLC. Then, you can move forward with the Prison Break mission.
