Dress for Success is one of two quests needed to start the Tea Ceremony Main Quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Here is how to complete it.

Dress for Success is one of the quests you must complete to head to the Tea Ceremony in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. This mission requires you to obtain a kosode to secure a seat at Imai Sokyu’s tea ceremony. A kosode is a form of Japanese garment.

At the start, you are given a clue to start your search in southwestern Sakai. However, acquiring this item is not as easy as just buying it from a vendor. There are some extra steps needed to get a kosode for Naoe. Here is how to start and finish the Dress for Success Main Quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

How To Start the Dress for Success Main Quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

This quest is available after finishing the Searching Sakai Main Quest. Since it is part of the Main Quests, you do not need any extra steps to unlock it. To start this mission, you need to find the appropriate vendor in southwestern Sakai. The correct location is shown in the map above.

Using the Observe feature will let you find the merchant much more easily when you are nearby. Talk to the seller, and she will inform you about the current predicament. Some pirates have stopped a shipment of silk from being delivered to her. Thus, there will be a delay of one week unless you can do something about it.

Retrieve the Silk From the Pirates in the Dress for Success Main Quest in AC Shadows

You will notice two big ships resting in the sea (visible on the map shown above as well). One of these will have the silk you need. However, you should be stealthy in your approach because pirates are lurking onboard the correct ship.

You can either sneak through them and obtain the silk you need in the center of the ship from a chest or slaughter them all. The choice is yours. Do note that if you choose to fight through the pirates, there are several well-placed explosives on board. So, use them to your advantage if you want to take the aggressive approach.

Reward for Completing the Dress for Success Main Quest in AC Shadows

Once you have obtained the silk (with or without dispatching all the pirates), you can make your way back to the merchant. Here, you can choose between one of two options for the kosode. These are:

• Portuguese black silk
• Chinese red silk

You should pick whichever option you prefer, as it does not have any significant story impact. Completing the mission will also get you 1,000 XP. This will finish up the Dress for Success Main Quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
