Assassin's Creed Shadows Hijiyama Fort Guide

Here is a guide on how to find, conquer, and collect the rewards from the Hijiyama Fort in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

The Hijiyama Fort is situated in the region of Iga. This is the location where you would be able to find the legendary Swift Shinobi Robes. In this article, we will be exploring the fort and how to complete the tasks to attain the rewards.

This fort is heavily guarded, which would be tough if one tried to infiltrate it during the initial levels. Proper progress is required to conquer the fort.

How To Find and Kill the First Samurai Daisho in Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

The first Samurai Daisho can be found towards the northwest side of Hijiyama Fort, just before the last two houses. Sneak your way across the roofs of the houses from the left side. You will reach a middle ground surrounded by a few houses.

Over there, the first samurai daisho will be seen patrolling. Jump on him and click the assassinate button to reduce his health as much as you can. Continue the fight and kill him, after which you will be approached by five to six guards. Continue your offense and take care of the rest before you start scouting things around.

How To Find and Kill the Second Samurai Daisho in Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

The second Samurai Daisho can be found towards the southwest of the tower of the fort. Scale up one of the houses around the courtyard while being in a crouched state. The samurai can be seen strolling around in the center of the courtyard. His guards will be patrolling the area around him.

Wait for the samurai to approach under the roof of the house to assassinate and reduce his health. This can either be done by using a distraction with either the shinobi bell you have or simply with patience. Choosing this method would eliminate the need to fight the guards if you do it sneakily. You could also choose to jump down and use a throwable to start a fight and save time.

Additional Quests Available in the Hijiyama Fort

Apart from killing the samurai, you can also embark on some extra quests around the fort.

As soon as you assassinate the second Samurai Daisho, jump back onto the roof. Open your map and proceed to the left of the fort icon, right between the gap between the houses. Behind the two houses, two guards are patrolling. The guard with the bow and arrow should have the key. As soon as you kill the guard, you will see a pop-up mentioning that you collected the key.

Legendary Chest

The chest can be located in the southern house in the fort. Approach the center of the courtyard and proceed towards the house. Enter the house quietly, and you will see a red chest box. There is a guard by the chest whom you would need to assassinate. Once done, go towards the box, and with the key you just collected, you will be able to open the chest. You will then receive the following rewards:

Swift Shinobi Robes – Light Armor
Greatly Improved Air Assassinate – Engraving
Mastery Points
3,000 XP

Synchronise Spot

The Synchronize spot, as seen on the map, is located towards the southwestern corner of the fort. Climb on top of the wall around the main house and sprint across till you reach the guard tower. Scale it up, and once you get the roof, you can synchronize.

Smuggle Resources

Another area for you to loot would be towards the southeastern corner of the fort. Across the wall, you would see a few houses. Once you get closer, blips of the lootable resources will be highlighted on your screen. Go towards the door and open it. To the right side would be two piles from which to smuggle resources. To the left, there are two small chests that you can loot.
