Assassin’s Creed Shadows: Hunters of Kyonyo Target Guide – Identity, Location, and More

The Hunters of Kyonyo are a group of notorious hunters led by the bounty hunter leader Tsuchi-Gumo. Kyonyo is a father who is concerned about his son and wants to save him from this vicious group of hunters. In this guide, we will take a look at where to find each hunter and the rewards you will receive after assassinating each of them.

After meeting Kyonyo, he will provide you with a clue that will state exactly where the Ikko Ikki were ambushed. This will be in the Nakakechi Route in the region of Kii. At the location, you will find a ronin. Assassinate him to receive the quest item ‘Come to Yunomine.’

The Hunters are spread far and wide across the lands, and various tips and clues by Kyonyo will help find their precise location. Once you reach the location, you will either get to silently assassinate them or fight through their guards to get to the hunter. These are all the locations of the four Hunters of Kyonyo and the Bounty Hunter Leader in Assassin’s Creed Shadows:

The Ambusher—Inumaru is the ambusher in the Hunters of Kyonyo quest. He can be found in the region of Kii, towards western Kumano Sanzan. More specifically, he would be at Yunomine, right beside the ambush site. Walk around the area till you hear Inumara’s voice. Use your observation mechanism to pinpoint his exact location.

The Spy — Kamakich is the spy in the Hunters of Kyonyo quest. He will be located in the outskirts of the Saika region, towards the western part of Kii. At the location, you will find some documents inside an abandoned hut, which will give you more clues about his whereabouts. These clues will lead you to Saika’s Markets, where, depending upon the time of day, his exact location would vary. During the daytime, he would be roaming the markets, and during the night, he would be visiting monks’ houses in the near vicinity.

The Interrogator — Shishi-O is the interrogator in the Hunters of Kyonyo quest. He can be seen in the eastern region of Kii. Fast-travel to the closest point, which is the one at Mount Takayama. From here, head to the Kumano Nachi Taisha woods. Over there, you will find Shishi-O standing tall over a group of civilians, threatening them.

The Shinobi — Toro is the Shinobi in the Hunters of Kyonyo. First, you will head to Koyasan in the Kii region and talk to the guard to get more clues about Toro’s location. From there, you will be asked to speak with the head monk, also in the same area as the southeastern site of Koyasan. From there, team up with the monks, and you will set up an ambush at Monk’s district. The shinobi will only be active at night, and you must hide in the building.

After all four hunters are assassinated, the quest to look for the last and leader hunter will be unlocked in the objective tab. Track the quest, and hints of the first location will appear on the objective board on your map.

Bounty Hunter Leader — Tsuchi-Gumo is the last enemy in the Hunters of Kyonyo quest and the bounty hunter leader. You will have to go and speak with Kyonyo at Iseji Trails in the Kii region. He will lead you toward the location at Akagi Fort. The hints suggest that Tsuchi-Gumo trains alone during the day. So you can choose to approach the mission during the day or night, depending upon how much heat you would like to face.
