Yes, we can confirm that Assassin’s Creed Shadows does have a photo mode. AC Shadows is the first new-gen title in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, so players expect it to have the highest standard of graphical fidelity. Based on the various clips and trailers released by the publisher, it is safe to say that Ubisoft has matched the expectations of the gaming community.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows might not be the most graphically superior game for many, but it is still visually stunning and has a captivating world design. Since the announcement of Project Red, we knew that Shadows was set in Feudal Japan, which already brings beautiful architecture and distinct visual language to the game. So if you want to put your photography skills to the test and capture all of it, then you can do so with Assassin’s Creed Shadows Photo Mode.

To use the Photo Mode, first, you will have to press L3 and R3 simultaneously. Once the pop-up appears on the screen, you will see multiple different tabs and options.

In the first or the main camera tab, you will have the Camera Roll, Focal Length, and Cycle Grids options. You are free to adjust these settings to however you see fit.  If you click on RB/R2, that will take you to the second tab. There, you will be able to adjust the Depth of Field, Aperture, Focal Distance, and Auto-Focus.

Additionally, the third tab in the Photo Mode will feature the various cool filter ISO options, including FX Filters, normal Filters, Brightness, and Exposure. There are a lot of fun filters available in AC Shadows that can make your pictures look quite cinematic or artistic. But we must say we found the Red Dragon in the FX Filter to be a noteworthy addition.

And lastly, we have the Decorations tab. It is mostly a vignette section; you will mostly find different vignette settings with just one significant addition, the Frame option. Once you have adjusted all of the settings to your liking and are ready to click your masterpiece, simply click the A/X button on your controller to take the picture. After that, the photo will be stored locally on your device.
