Ubisoft has finally launched Assassin’s Creed Shadows Title Update 1.0.7, and with it comes many new changes, including the increase of the Knowledge Rank cap to levels 9 and 10. This change creates more space for players to acquire new skills and enhance their playstyle, and it also fits quite well with the title’s latest New Game Plus mode.

So, without further delay, let us explore how you can unlock the new knowledge ranks in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

In the previous version of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, players could only reach up to Knowledge Rank 8 and unlock skills within that barrier. However, Ubisoft’s latest update 1.0.7 for Assassin’s Creed Shadows pushes the limit a bit further and enables players to upgrade their Knowledge Ranks to level 9 and 10. This change was made to keep the game fresh for newcomers and veterans alike, and to prevent any sense of staleness in the community.

Since the changes feature an expanded progression system and no new gameplay features, the process for unlocking the latest two levels stays largely the same. Just like before, to get to levels 9 and 10, players will have to gather knowledge points in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Furthermore, they can do so by doing some non-action activities and completing a few minigames, including visiting shrines, temples, or Kuji-Kiri locations. However, keep in mind that some of the Knowldge activties are exclusive to each protagonist.

Furthermore, as per our reports, Ranks 9 and 10 are exclusive to the New Game Plus Mode as of now. Which means, you won’t be able to reach the new heights of AC Shadows during a normal playthrough, and replaying the game in the NG+ mode is a must for the latest upgrades.

More Assassin’s Creed Shadows Upgrades

The Knowledge Rank is not the only thing that got an expanded cap in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. With the latest update, players can now also level up to 80 instead of 60. Alongside the broader level system, you can also upgrade the Forge to level 4 now, which will allow you to access further and stronger weapon enhancements.

The developers made all of these changes to the game to give the players an incentive to try their latest New Game Plus mode. It is a great way to experience the game multiple times with tougher enemies and all of your gear from previous saves. Since the much-awaited Claws of Awaji DLC is still a few weeks away, fans of the AC franchise can now enjoy the world of shadows a bit more till then.
