One such quest in AC Shadows is the Wolves and Foxes quest, which is a Naoe-specific quest. This is why you need to play it as Naoe only. The quest is fairly linear, as the majority of the objectives focus on dialogues.

How To Start the Wolves and Foxes Quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

To start the Wolves and Foxes quest, visit Naoe’s objective board. Afterward, you will receive the mission objective that Mitsuhide’s army has attacked Tokugawa Ieyasu and the Igan defenders.

Now, the mission requires you to help them. Therefore, follow the map marker to arrive at the designated location, which is near the winding river. Additionally, you can refer to the attached image to find the exact location.

Completing the Wolves and Foxes Quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Once Naoe arrives at the location, she will spot a group of soldiers attacking the Igan people. So, she needs to eliminate them first and then meet Tokugawa near the bridge. Interacting with Tokugawa triggers a cutscene where Naoe engages in a conversation with him. She also gets a dialogue choice for both characters; you can choose either of them.

After the cutscene, Tokugawa will leave along with his army. Yasuke will also bid farewell to Naoe. Now, she needs to find and follow Hattori Hanzo. After a short distance, he will stop, and another cutscene will begin, where he asks about Naoe’s father. Naoe then mentions the retrieved box.

Hanzo will warn Naoe to step away from this fight to stay alive. He also says that there are more similar red boxes. Next, a dialogue box will open where Hanzo asks Naoe to join him, and you get the following options:

• Threaten Hanzo
• Talk to Hanzo

Choose the second option, and Hanzo will tell Naoe that the hidden blade she is carrying is more than a weapon and that she should visit the Kofun at Settsu for better clarity about her dilemma. Afterward, Hanzo departs, and Yasuke rejoins Naoe, completing the quest.
