Why Should You Play Arc Warlock PvP?
The Destiny 2 Arc Warlock PvP Build is both a passive playstyle and an aggressive playstyle. Your abilities allow you to deal extra damage to enemies and quickly charge them head on with a powerful melee ability. This class is easy to master and fun to play.

Arc Warlock PvP Playstyle
The Arc Warlock can have both passive and aggressive playstyles. Depending on the aspects that you take, it will define how you play the class. If you take Arcsoul, then play around your rift. The Arc Soul is very strong as it is a sentry that stays on you and can shoot all around you. If you use LIGHTNING SURGE, then play aggressively. This melee does great damage in an area. Remember, the warlock has no true one-shot kill ability, so you gotta lower them a little bit to secure the kill. Having a higher strength stat will allow you to use this ability often.
Abilities
Some abilities, aspects and fragments need to be unlocked before use. To do that, Destiny 2 players must visit Ikora in the Tower and do the related quest or purchase them from her. Lastly, if you bought new aspects and fragments, don’t forget to “meditate”. Click the “meditate” option on the table next to Ikora.
Stormtrance – Chain Arc Lightning from your hands to electrify targets with devastating streams of Arc Light that intensify over time. Casting Stormtrance creates a jolting shockwave underneath you. [Sprint] : Teleport forward, consuming a small amount of Super energy. STORMTRANCE has a longer cooldown Flex: CHAOS REACH Unleash a long-range channeled beam of concentrated Arc energy.active super again to deactivate your Super early, saving Super energy. Has shorter cooldown
Healing Rift – Conjure a well of power that continuously heals those inside it.
Burst Glide – Jump while airborne to activate Glide and start an airborne drift with a strong initial boost of speed. FLEX: Strafe Glide. Jump while airborne to activate glide and start an airborne drift with strong directional control
Arcbolt Grenade – A grenade that chains bolts of lightning to nearby targets. Flex: STORM GRENADE: A grenade that calls down a focused lightning storm
Chain Lightning – An extended range melee that jolts your target and chains lightning to nearby targets. While amplified, it creates an additional set of chains. Flex: BALL LIGHTNING: Fire an Arc projectile forward that releases a perpendicular lightning strike after a short time. While Amplified, Ball Lightning releases additional lightning strikes before detonating
Aspects
Lightning Surge – While sliding, activate your charged melee ability to blink forward, calling down lightning strikes that jolt targets as you rematerialize. Use If playing Aggressive. Flex to Arc Soul if playing passive.
Electrostatic Mind – Defeating targets with Arc abilities or defeating jolted or blinded targets creates an Ionic Trace. Collecting an Ionic Trace makes you amplified. Always use.
Fragments

Spark of Recharge : While critically wounded, your melee and grenade energy regenerates more quickly.
Spark of Resistance : While surrounded by combatants, you are more resistant to incoming damage.

Weapons for the Arc Warlock PvP Build
The best weapon combination with the Arc Warlock PvP Build is an Igneous Hammer and Conditional Finality. Since these provide the best utility for both good close-range and mid-range engagements. Also, Hand Cannon and Shotgun is one of the highest skill gap weapon combinations and is often preferred by veteran players or those participating in high levels of PVP content.
Weapon Combinations
Below are some additional weapon combinations for our Arc Warlock PvP Build:
- Hand Cannon & Fusion Rifle – Best for good aimers
- Submachine Gun & Sniper Rifle – Best for aggressive players
- Pulse Rifle and Shotgun – Best for passive players
If you wish to run a different weapon combination, we highly recommend at least running a primary ammo weapon and a special ammo weapon. Running two special weapons will limit your ammo and is not functional. Even though utilizing two primary weapons is doable, you will be at a massive disadvantage due to the strength of special ammo weapons.
Hand Cannon & Fusion Rifle
While not as iconic as the hand cannon and shotgun meta that ruled Destiny 2 for many years, the hand cannon and fusion rifle combo is lethal. You benefit from mid-range engagements with your hand cannon and close-range bursts with your fusion rifle. This combination is potent for guardians who like the high skill gap of hand cannons, and it provides an easier-to-use special weapon with the Fusion Rifle.
Submachine Gun & Sniper Rifle
With close-range and long-range engagements taken care of with this pairing, however, playing very aggressively with this combination is recommended. With a submachine gun, you are lethal at close ranges, allowing you to contest most weapons within short range. A sniper rifle lets you clear a lane and push up towards your enemies.
Pulse Rifle & Shotgun
This pairing allows for both long-range and close-range to be secured. Pulse Rifles can out-range most hand cannons while providing a very easy-to-use weapon, so they work well with more passive players. Shotguns provide one-shot potential when getting rushed by enemy players that push your position.
Exotic Armor
Transversive Steps – Very strong exotic that will enable you to move quicker and reload your weapons while sprinting.
The Stag – The damage reduction helps out in every situation. Great choice for a passive playstyle.
Armor Stats
The best stats to focus on in our Arc Warlock PvP Build are Recovery, Resilience, and Discipline.

- Resilience: 70
- Recovery: 100
- Disciple: 60
- Intellect: 50
- Strength: 50
