It demands knowledge and strategy, and finding secret places. One of the many side quests players can undertake in this expansive universe is the Minimic Film Recovery quest. Dune Awakening Minimic Film Recovery Quest
The Minimic Film Recovery Quest can be started by speaking to Derek Chinara at the top of the rock near Imperial Testing Station No. 2. He is standing in a covered area surrounded by machines, pieces of technology, and more greenery than you would expect.
Furthermore, Derek Chinara is actually a planetary ecologist, and recovering the Minimic Film for him will unlock the first level of the Planetoligist skill line. Before you go inside the Imperial Testing Station No. 2, speak to Derek and agree to help recover the minimic film for him.
Where is the Minimic Film in Dune Awakening?
You can find the Minimic Film deep inside the Imperial Testing Station No. 2, hidden in a secret room behind a bookcase at the bottom of the stairs that wind around a large, glass tube with plants inside.
This area will be near the end of the delve interior, but the way through is mostly straightforward. You will have to find some keys to unlock barriers to advance this far. However, there are only a couple and they are relatively easy to find.
When you get to the bottom of the stairs, there may be a couple of enemies you will need to defeat. Then, you should head through the nearby doorway and into a new all. Immediately look over the right to see a desk counter and two bookshelves. On the second one, you will see a glowing orange light.
Next, go over to this light and you’ll discover that you can interact with it. Click to ‘Open’ and the bookcase will move to the side. As the doorway opens, be prepared to encounter an enemy attack.
Afterward, you can find the Minimic Film inside a case sitting on top of a table in the center of the room.
Minimic Film Recovery Quest Reward in Dune Awakening
Return to Derek Chinara with the Minimic Film in your inventory, and he will reward you by unlocking the Planetologist skill line. The Planetologist is one of the skill lines not available during character creation, so this is your first chance to get training in it.
In Dune Awakening, Planetologist skills help with vehicle care and improvements, better resource gathering, improved surveying, and more.
