In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you can take on a chain of side quests that makes you deal with The Godai Shinobi. The Godai Shinobi is a small group comprised of five formerly elite members of Koga-ryu. These five former students of Shotei are now causing havoc across the land by mercilessly killing people. 

The game leaves it to the players to eliminate each of the five members and bring peace. Some of the members can be quite difficult to find, but the Godai of Water is rather easy to locate.

Location of Godai of the Water in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

The Godai of Water is located at the Mangetsuji Temple, which is southwest of Lake Biwa and directly north of Sakamoto. To summon the Godai of Water, you have to interact with a dead body. Many dead bodies are left on the north side of a pond at the Mangetsuji Temple and one carries a letter. The Godai of Water spawns right behind you when you pick up the letter.

How To Beat Godai of the Water in Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

As an ex-elite of the Koga-ryu, the Godai of Water is quite a formidable enemy. When you pick up the letter, a cloud of smoke appears behind you with the Godai inside the smoke. The smoke lingers for a second or two, but it can heavily obstruct your vision. The Godai of Water frequently uses smoke bombs during the fight to disorient you. 

The Godai of Water is a skilled and nimble shinobi. She uses two tanto and performs slash attacks. Occasionally, she can also do an unstoppable kick combo. Do not wander far from her, as she has a kusarigama to strike at you from a distance. We recommend staying close to her and deflecting an attack to make her vulnerable. Doing so can provide you the opportunity to dish out high amounts of damage.
