The Soiled Merchant, Isshiki Mansaku, is one of the major targets in the Corrupt Daikan quest of Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Located in the lush state of Omi, you can easily discover him. This quest is full of formidable enemies that Naoe will come across while hunting down her targets.

Here’s how you can find The Soiled Merchant and what tactics you can use to defeat him.

The Soiled Merchant can be found in the southeastern compound in the Otsu Lower District. If you’re unfamiliar, the Otsu Lower District can be found in the Lush Estate of Omi just near the Mouth of Seta. Here’s a little overview:

  • Lush Estate in Omi
  • Mouth of Seta
  • Otsu Lower District

Unfortunately, unlike other targets in the Corrupt Daikan quest, The Soiled Merchant has no specific location. He constantly wanders around the compound along with these guards, and you can use your Eagle Vision to filter him out and mark the guards. If you can wait enough, he’ll settle down in one of the houses covered by tall trees.

How To Beat The Soiled Merchant?

The best way to enter the compound is using the high walls and trees. You can either go all katana blazing through the compound or wait for the right moment to use your Hidden Blades. Since Naoe is a professional assassin, you can rely on her hidden blades to do the job without alarming anyone else in the area; you wouldn’t want all the enemies to swarm you within a second.

While you’re in the compound, you can use the tall grass to conceal your presence and the large trees for a vantage point. Once you spot The Soiled Merchant, wait for an attack window and surprise attack him with your Hidden Blades. After the assassination, you will be rewarded with 2 Mastery Points, 2,000 Exp, and 275 Mon.
