How To Complete the Sacred Bridge (Kuji-Kiri) in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Here is a guide on how to complete the Sacred Bridge objective, part of the Kuji-Kiri side quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows takes a deep dive into the rich culture and heritage of Japan and samurais. Throughout the game, we get to complete objectives based on real locations in Japan.

One of these objectives includes visiting all twenty-two Kuji-Kiri meditation locations across the nine regions in the game. Upon completing each Kuji-kiri, you will receive knowledge points as well as unlock a core memory of her past.

In this guide, we will look at how to complete the Sacred Bridge Kuji-Kiri objective.

What is the Kuji-Kiri?

Kuji-kiri translates to nine symbolic cuts. This is a traditional practice in Japan which involves a series of nine hand gestures. This also includes a specific set of mantras. The main objective of this ritual is to have a positive impact on the mind and spiritual state of the person practising it.

Naoe is the only character who can perform this side quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. She is required to visit specific areas and approach the interactable blip.

How To Complete the Sacred Bridge Kuji-Kiri in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

After pressing the prompted button to begin the quest, Naoe will take a seat, close her eyes and begin to meditate. Four buttons will appear on the screen inside four white transparent circles. A thinner white outline will shrink inside each circle. Once the outline touches the circle, you will be required to tap the button. If timed right, you will be able to continue to the next button.

With each successful rotation, the tempo of the prompts increases, making it more challenging. Keep clicking on the buttons when prompted. Memorise the four buttons which appear and continue to tap them at their designated timings as the prompts keep rotating. In the middle of the quest, the screen turns into a white sketch effect. After a few rotations, the quest ends with Naoe self-reflecting on a memory from her past.
