Naoe in Assassin’s Creed Shadows is one of the dual protagonists alongside Yasuke. While both characters have different combat styles and motives that drive them through the story, Naoe has a specific ability to meditate at specific locations and recall her past.

Unlocking her core memories, the Kuji-Kiri activity, is one prominent way to receive experience and Knowledge Points to keep up with the game’s difficulty curve. Here’s how you can complete the Waterfall Kuji-Kiri in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

The Kuji Kiri of the waterfall is located in the beautiful Omi Region. It is one of the nine vast regions present on the map; you can zoom out to check your current area.

To find the Waterfall, visit the Western side of Shiotsu, and you’ll find an area called Takashima Shores. For the meditation spot near the shore, you can follow the main pathway leading outside the Takashima Shores.

Keep walking parallel to the river, and on the northeastern side of the shore, you can find the meditation spot. The weather condition depends on the progress of your story. We would recommend visiting the Omi Region in the later parts of Naoe’s story since it’s a high-level area; one mistake against the enemies can result in a significant HP loss.

Completing the Waterfall (Kuji-Kiri)

The Kuji-Kiri acts like a rhythm minigame where you press the button as the outer circle closes in. Time the buttons perfectly and press them. Their sequence is as follows:

W > Right Arrow Key > S > Right Arrow Key and Q (Simultaneously)

This pattern repeats quite a few times, and when your screen turns black and white, it means you have successfully completed the Kuji-kiri.

Rewards

Completing this Kuji-Kiri minigame in Omi’s waterfall rewards Naoe with 550 Experience and one Knowledge Point.
