For most fans who have played since the earliest of days, the double assassination has been a favorite move. Originally introduced by Ezio Auditore da Firenze, who had double hidden blades, it paved the way for a new kind of combat, both stealthy and otherwise. Double Assassination makes a welcome return in AC Shadows, though only Naoe can use it. 

Naoe does not wield two dual blades, but she can perform double assassinations with the help of another Japanese blade. In hindsight, this is tied to a specific weapon and a specific skill move at that. In this article, we will explain how you can easily unlock and perform double assassinations while playing Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

How To Unlock Double Assassination in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

You can double assassinate only as Naoe while using the Tanto in one of your weapon slots in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Moreover, you must have unlocked the Double Assassination skill for Naoe from the Assassin Tree at Knowledge Rank 2.

At any given time, Naoe will be able to carry two weapons. As long as one of these slots is taken by the Tanto, you will be able to perform double assassination. If two enemies are standing close by, you can kill them with a single attack in the game. You can perform running, crouching, standing, or even aerial double assassinations as Naoe. However, the amount of damage that you will deal depends on other factors like skills, weapon passives, and armor abilities.

Double assassination also works on brute enemies and elites in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. However, you will need to have the ability upgraded to a certain knowledge rank in order to do this seamlessly once your and the enemies’ levels increase.
