In this guide, we shall go over how to find and defeat the Chief Cuckoo in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, one of the right Kabukimono.
The world of Assassin’s Creed Shadows is absolutely gorgeous, filled with NPCs, wildlife, nature’s serenity, and so much more. The beauty’s Ying comes with Yang in the form of tragedy, however. The beautiful land is plagued by corruption as an ancient order looks to press control in the upper rungs of society. In the lower rungs, lawlessness runs amok, fuelled by the actions of the Kabukimono.
The Kabukimono are ronins who parade around the land and hurt innocent folk. The Chief Cuckoo is one of eight Kabukimonos in AC Shadows and is one of the trickier ones to find. The ronin hides somewhere in the Izumi Settsu region of the game, and with so much land to cover, you may spend hours just locating him.

Where To Find the Chief Cuckoo in Assassin’s Creed Shadows?
As stated earlier, the Chief Cuckoo is in the Izumi Settsu region of AC Shadows. Among this vast land, the ronin hides in the Katano subregion, a settlement along the river closer to the center of the region. Head to the Katano Tenshu viewpoint in the area, and then make your way southwest toward the forest to find the Chief Cuckoo in the Katano Oil Trading compound.
How To Defeat the Chief Cuckoo in Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

Once you approach the border of the Katano Oil Trading grounds, you’ll immediately notice that the ronin is not playing around and has a small battalion guarding him. The compound is small, so any one mistake can be fatal. Hence, it is wise to isolate your targets one by one and pick them off. We also recommend being leveled up appropriately, as the Chief Cuckoo can be formidable in a swordfight, doubly so with his minions by his side.
If you’re not up for the task of sneaking or getting into a fight, there is a quick way to kill the Chief Cuckoo. Approach the compound from the eastern end and parkour over the sheds to reach the small shack where the Chief and two minions are looking over a noticeboard. Run over and kill him quickly from behind before making your grand escape.
