How To Find and Defeat Clifftop Yamabushi in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

The Clifftop Yamabushi is one of the Yamabushi Imposters you have to find and assassinate in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

The Yamabushi Imposters are a group of villains who disguise themselves as mountain monks so they may commit acts of violence. In total, there are nine of these imposters, each located in separate places. As you can tell, these Yamabushi are menaces to society and need to be stopped.

How To Find the Clifftop Yamabushi in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

To start the Yamabushi Imposters questline, you will have to talk to Genpaku in the Yamato region. After this, you can find the nine Yamabushis all over the map.

The Clifftop Yamabushi is a little more out of the way than the other imposters, so finding him is slightly more difficult. This Yamabushi is found on a cliff in the Eastern part of Kii. He is found at the Kii Assassin Outpost. To get to his location you will have to follow the Path of the Chosen to the South.

How To Defeat the Clifftop Yamabushi

The Clifftop Yamabushi wields a naginata in battle. He uses this weapon to deliver quick attacks. Fortunately, to make up for his speed, his attacks are not too powerful.

Usually, he will start the battle by jumping at you with an un-blockable attack, followed by another un-blockable spinning slash. Make sure to avoid these attacks.

An easy way to defeat him is to make use of the environment. As he is named the Clifftop Yamabushi, it would be most poetic to use a cliff to engineer his demise. After he starts the battle by jumping, you can attack him to push him closer to the edge. When he is close enough, you can assassinate him to push him off the cliff, defeating him instantly.

Defeating him gets you the following rewards:

• 2,000 XP
• 2 Mastery Points
• Legendary Naginata – Lustrous Pearl
• Engraving – Knockdown on Postured Combo Ender
• 320 Mon
