How To Find and Defeat Forest Yamabushi in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Find and defeat the Forest Yamabushi, which is one of the nine from the Yamabushi Imposter Quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, the Yamabushi Imposters are one of the many organisations that are to be taken down by Naoe and Yasuke. In this guide, we will look at how to find and defeat the Forest Yamabushi.

There are nine Yamabushis present on the entire map. The Forest Yamabushi is another notorious imposter who makes wrong use of the Yamabushi status to disguise himself and attack a number of innocent civilians.

Find the Forest Yamabushi in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

As per the objective quest, on the world map, the Forest Yamabushi’s whereabouts are understood with the help of some clues. He is in the region of Kii. The imposter hides somewhere to the southeast of Wakanoura Bay and to the northeast of Saia Castle.

On the map, scroll to the Nyu-Daimyojin Shrine at Saika in the region of Kii and use the nearest fast travel point to get closer to the imposter. Once there, you can head up the flight of stairs in your path. Once on top, you will notice Forest Yamabushi sitting there stretching his arms.

Assassinate the Shadow Yamabushi

He is one of the several rumored imposters who use the garb of Yamabushis as a disguise to attack innocent civilians. Depending upon where you approach the imposter from, you get to start the duel in various ways.

If you come up from the path of the shrine, you face three weak opponents. Once you kill them, the Forest Yamabushi is alerted and approaches you for the fight.

If you come from the direction of the fast travel, you will see the yamabushi sitting peacefully, allowing you to lay an assassination strike on him. This will deplete his life to close to half, giving you an upper hand in the fight.

After killing this Yamabushi, you receive three rewards.

2. Buildup over half health – Engraving
3. Mon – x320
