How To Find and Defeat Kamakichi in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

In this guide, we discuss how you can locate and defeat the bounty hunter Kamakichi in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Naoe will come across a man named Kennyo during her travels in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Kennyo will ask Naoe to hunt down a group of bounty hunters who are after his son, Kyonyo. This quest, titled ‘The Hunters of Kyonyo,’ will have Naoe track down and kill the five hunters in the group. One of the targets is Kamakichi.

In this guide, we’ll explain how you can find Kamakichi in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. We’ll also tell you how you can beat this enemy easily.

How To Find Kamakichi in Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

The Hunters of Kyonyo quest begins with you heading to the ambush site where Kyonyo was attacked by the bounty hunters. From there, you find your first target, a man named Inumaru. After you deal with Inumaru, a letter on his body will lead you to find the hideout of the spy. While the quest won’t reveal the spy’s name yet, this is Kamakichi. The hideout is located in the outskirts of Saika in the western part of Kii.

Once you get to the location, you’ll discover an abandoned hut with some documents to read inside. These will lead Naoe to Kamakichi’s location. The target will be at different locations, depending on whether it is night or day. During the daytime, he roams openly in Saika’s markets. However, at night, he visits the monk houses in the area.

How To Defeat Kamakichi in Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

We’d suggest finding the spy during the daytime. He can be seen sitting down at various parts of the Saika market. He doesn’t have any guards next to him, and you can walk up to him without him turning hostile. If you are at a higher level than the target, you can even stealth assassinate him without the need to engage in a long fight. However, make sure to get out of the area quickly before guards can respond to the panic your assassination causes.

You will receive an epic Kusarigama when you kill Kamakichi, named Whip of the Deserter. Besides that, you’ll also get a document related to the quest, which hints at your next target and an engraving of Damage over Half Health.
