How To Find and Defeat Laughing Man in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

In this guide, we shall go over how to find and defeat the Laughing Man in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, one of the Kabukimono. 

The Kabukimono in Assassin’s Creed Shadows are ronin that have run through villages and towns, terrorizing innocents along the way and establishing lawlessness as the new norm. As you run through the Kabukimono ronin and eliminate them one by one, you then find a letter that notifies you that these colorful ronin have recruited three more members to their ranks. The Laughing Man is one of this notorious bunch and is someone you must assassinate. 

The game presents you with two choices at this point: hunt the remnants of the Kabukimono in one go or take them out one by one and finish off the group. Regardless of what you choose, the Laughing Man is a tricky target. If you’re having a tough time locating the Laughing Man or dealing with him, we’re here to help. Where To Find the Laughing Man in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

You can find the Laughing Man only after you’ve dealt with the first five of the Kabukimono group. These first five ronin include Big Sueki, Ember, Grave Dancer, Ghost General, and the Chief Cuckoo. Once you kill the fifth, you learn that there are three more that need to be eliminated. You can then opt to gather them all in one place for an ambush or assassinate them individually. 

Depending on what you choose, their locations will be different. If you choose to gather them up, the Laughing Man, along with the rest of the trio, will be in a lumberyard south of Takagi Otsuka Fort in the southeastern end of Harima. If you opt to hunt them individually, the Laughing Man will instead be in the Blackstone Cascades in Harima. This location is on the northern end of Harima, directly east of the Lover’s Lake landmark. Spawn at the Inariayama Watchtower viewpoint and head northeast to find the spot. 

How To Assassinate the Laughing Man in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

While hunting solo may seem like the better choice, we recommend gathering the trio and killing them all at once. This will save you time and provide a new challenge instead of the monotonous loop you went through for the previous targets.

Approach the trio from the southern end of the lumberyard, where they will be grouped together. Launch smoke bombs right at them and drop in on the Laughing Man in the middle for a quick kill. Once fighting ensues, warriors will jump to your aid. Let them distract your targets and keep chipping away HP from the sides to kill the rest.
