How To Find and Defeat Toro in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Toro is one of the five hunters you need to find and defeat to protect Kyonyo during the Hunters of Kyonyo quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Hunters of Kyonyo is one of the side quests in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. It requires players to hunt a bunch of bounty hunters across Kii as Naoe. Interacting with Kennyo, Kyonyo’s father, in Negoroji triggers the Hunters of Kyonyo side quest, where he asks you to protect Kyonyo from a group of threatening bounty hunters across Kii.

Toro is one of the five hunters you need to defeat for the Hunters of Kyonyo quest board. However, defeating him takes a unique approach, unlike the other bounty hunters. Learn how to find and defeat Toro in Assassin’s Creed Shadows during the Hunters of Kyonyo quest.

How To Find Toro in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Interact with Kyonyo at Saika Castle after defeating the first two bounty hunters — Kamakichi and Inumaru — to learn details about the other bounty hunters. Find Kyonyo at Saika Temple Grounds, where he asks you to investigate the reason for his contact in Koyasan being unresponsive. Find and interact with the Guard at the Northern Kii, south of the Ornament Vendor to learn about the Shinobi, Toro. It also reveals that the Head Monk is his next target.  

How To Defeat Toro in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Interact with the Head Monk at Koyasan to lay a trap for Toro at the building behind him with the assistance of guards. Head inside the building along with the Head Monk and extinguish all four lights to make use of the nightfall, luring Toro. Once you extinguish all four lights, Toro will appear outside the building’s surroundings with the intent to kill the Head Monk. Use your observe mechanics to pinpoint his location and eliminate him once and for all. 

Defeat Toro to progress towards the Hunters of Kyonyo quest while receiving Call of Koyasan Epic Bow with the Adrenaline on Consecutive Hits (Engraving Perk), 347 Mon, and 2 Mastery Points.
